Whelping Supplies

These are the items that I always have on hand when preparing for a litter.

They offer incubator, oxygen concentrators and whelping warmers. I have multple whelping warmers in the event I have more than one litter at a time.

  • Whelping Box - for my Aussie I prefer a wooden box and we built a base to hold the Lovetts whelping nest. For AHT I use a 2x4 puppy pen.
  • PuppyWarmer Incubator & Whelping warmer

  • Hemostats (Large & small)
  • Dental floss. (Unwaxed if possible)
  • Large bulb syringe (small not enough suction)
  • Delee Suction Catheter 3 French
  • Sharp scissors/ dull scissors to cut cords
  • Quick read Thermometer (plastic covers help in clean up)
  • Towels to rub puppies
  • A heating pad or two
  • Rice filled socks (dampen and warm in microwave for concentrated heat)

  • ​Butterfly needles for giving fluids
