Our Breeding Program
We are a small show kennel located in Cleveland, TX. Our dogs are our life and we spend many hours researching dogs and pedigrees that will compliment our breeding program. That being said, we can not promise any buyer a specific puppy until they are evaluated at 8 weeks of age. We want to make sure the temperament is suitable for the intended home. Our puppies are evaluated at 8 weeks of age for structure and temperament and again at 10 weeks for movement. At that time we will start matching up puppies to homes. Since not every dog can be a show dog, people looking for show homes will get first pick.
American Hairless Terriers typically live 13-16 years so getting a puppy is a long term commitment. We want to make sure that we match your home with the puppies personality. We don't want to place a super high drive puppy in home that wants a couch potato. Puppies will typically go to their new homes at 10 weeks of age. By this time they will have been wormed four times, received their first set of shots and had time to build up their immunity.
Our show prospects are guaranteed against any genetic defects or disqualifying faults. If your puppy is diagnosed by a qualified veterinarian as having a genetic defect or disqualifying fault, we will replace it from a subsequent litter once we receive proof of spay/neuter. All guarantees are void if the dog is bred before the age of 2.
Our puppies are raised in our home and are litter box trained on corn cob pellets. We find this makes potty training so much easier. They will have been started on leash and crate training before leaving. We try to expose them to as many new things as we can so they transition better. All of our puppies are micro-chipped before going home. Our puppies go for $2500-$3000. We now send every puppy home with a GPS tracker on an embroidered collar with our website and phone number.
Pet/companion puppies are sold with limited registration on a spay/neuter contract. No dog will be sold for the sole purpose of breeding. Any show prospect must have titles and the proper health clearances before being bred or all guarantees are void. Show/breeding dogs are sold on a co-own until all requirements are met for breeding.
From time to time we will have adolescent dogs available for sale. These are show prospects that either did not grow to our expectations or we have decided we do not want to utilize in our breeding program. There is nothing "wrong" with these dogs, they make wonderful pets/companions. These dogs will have been shown and trained and should easily transition to a new home. As much as we would like to, we can not keep them all and our goal is to breed the Best of the Best!
Once your application has been approved, you will be added to the waitlist. This is not a guarantee we will have a puppy for you. A wait list is a fluid thing since people want different things. Some want a female vs a male or a spotty puppy vs solid. Some people will find a puppy elsewhere. Just because you may not be first on the list, doesn't mean you won't end up at the top. If you do get a puppy elsewhere we request that you let us know so we can remove you from the waitlist.
WE TYPICALLY DO NOT TAKE DEPOSITS BUT MAY ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS!! We accept cash, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo upon pick up of the puppy. We do not ship puppies. You must make arrangements to pick up or pay a flight nanny. We will not ship puppies via ground transport. The nearest airport is IAH George Bush Intercontinental.
